New logic pro update loads previous and new files but doesn't show them PLEASE HELP!!!!!
MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.13
Yes, exactly! When I open an existing file it shows the loading process but afterwards the project isn't opened.
I tried Command-1 but that also doesn't work. I even restarted my computer and deleted logic to install it again but both didn't work...
I'm assuming you made a backup of the Logic appplication (could be contained on a Time Machine backup of the whole system) before you updated your Logic application to 10.6.0.
There's no need for an entire re-install. Just grab the older app from any of your backups and drop it back into your Applications folder. For future reference it's a good idea to make a quick backup of only your Logic app by zipping it up and putting it somewhere else. That way, it takes minutes to go back to use a previous version of Logic.
This is happening to lots of people at the moment with no resolution so far.
Go back to the previous version until it is fixed is the only solution right now.
What do you mean it loads them but doesn’t show them?? Have you hit Command 1 to open the main window and there’s nothing there??
Do new projects work as expected?
what version were these other “files” and are they definitely Logic Pro projects?
No, new projects don't work at all. Just as the other files, which were definitely Logic Pro projects, it doesn't show anything after opening...
That's messed up... Thanks for the reply, how do I go back to the previous version?
Get the app off of your backup and drop it back into the Applications folder.
Make sure you have auto update turned off in System Preferences or it'll auto update again.
I agree, it's very messed up.
Alright, thank you so much!!
What do you mean by backup? Do you mean I should re-install the whole thing or do I need to drop it on a harddrive or something and drop it back?
Ah ok! Thank you!
Good one, I'll do that from now on.
