iPhone 12 Pro Max Camera Purple Lines

I noticed these purple lines on 12 pro max in low light environment.

A soft reset made them disappear : volume +(release), volume -(release), power button(maintain till apple logo appears)

Thanks for the post in Apple Support Communities. Having a camera that works as expected is definitely important! It sounds like you're sometimes seeing purple lines when you use your rear-facing camera. Is that right?

Are the lines showing in the Preview window only, or do they appear when you take a photo as well?

Do you have a case on your device? If so, try removing it and then test again; how does that work?

They replaced my phone it was hardware issue

I have the same issue with my iPhone 12 Pro Max front camera. I went to Apple store to report the issue and finally they replaced my device.

I had an appointment with the apple store yesterday. They did not replace the unit. They just restored the device and told me the issue is sorted. So far i am not facing the issue. But i am sure it will pop up again after few days.

Did anyone try to install 14.5 ? Some people claimed that since they did the issue has been gone and they’re talking about using it for months now...

I have appointment on Sunday and they will be replacing mine as well lol 😂

They gave me new phone

this happened to me too end of 2020 (i have iPhone 12 max pro) and they gave me a new phone - and now it’s happening again :/

I have the same issue with my 12 Pro Max. When I open the camera app and point towards a dark area or I close the lens, purple and green lines appear on the entire screen. The phone is updated to iOS14.3. The images captured do not show these lines, but the videos do

Hey! I have the same issue. The purple lines appear in the camera preview but it does not appear on the image once clicked.

But it does appear in the videos taken.
