Hello guys i have been wondering if i should buy macbook pro 15 inch 2018 from my friend within 1000$ or should i buy the new m1 macbook air ?

I would go with the M1 MacBook Air. The M1 processor is 3.5x faster than an Intel Core i7, the battery life is much longer, and it doesn't have a noisy fan. The downsides would be that the RAM is shared with the CPU and GPU, and there is no discrete GPU, but the integrated GPU is fine for most purposes.
Thank you so much for your help, but don’t you think that the macbook pro 2018 15 inch 2.6gb is better for the value of money, because as i saw before the macbook pro... is at the range of 2000$ and I’m going to take it with only 1000$ ?
It depends on what you are using it for. If you want a fast computer with long battery life, use the MacBook Air. If you are doing things like video editing or gaming, the Pro has a better graphics card and more RAM.
Yes, but the value depreciates over time. That computer is probably worth $1,000 so you would be buying it at a fair price just like the Air. Because of that, and the fact that the Air has better specs, you should be better off with the air.
