YouTube 8k 60fps unplayable

device: MacBook Air with M1 chip, 8gb ram 256gb ssd

in safari, for any video that is 8k 60fps, it's not playable, the video freezes constantly, other resolution works perfectly, including regular 8k which is not 60 fps, is this a bug or the hardware just not capable to play 8k 60fps video?

YouTube playback on Safari When I start playing a YouTube video on safari, it plays for a second or two (but the page isn’t fully loaded). Then the video goes black for two or 3 seconds(with the audio still playing fine). Then the video comes back with a bit of lag and proceeds to carry on like fine and doesn’t happen again for the rest of the video. It happens every time so it isn’t random, and I have no browser extensions being used. I’ve tried on chrome and I have no issues there. I’m on a 2018 MacBook Pro and have fibre optic broadband so there’s no issue with device power or internet speed. Really odd

watch video, it keep lagging/freezing/hanging for around half second, audio is fine MacBook Pro macOS Catalina 10.15.7. Just got this laptop for 2 days. Have this issue on Safari and Chrome both. And not only play YouTube other video streaming websites have same issue. horrible experience. Delete chrome, delete all safari extensions have no any help.

Mac Mini M1 will not play any videos For the past 4 months my M1 Mini mac with 16 GB running Ventura 13.2 will not play any online or local videos. This is the case with either Safari or Chrome. If i reboot the Mini mac it will then play for a few hours then go back to not playing anything. This happens with Youtube / BBC news videos or any videos I have in Apple TV app on my Mac. Any ideas?
