Does it support Epson Printers?

Just to clarify, it is not a case of whether Big Sur supports this or that printer. The real question has to be is that printer's software compliant with Big Sur. To check that out, you should visit Epson's help site and see if a current download is available. These problems are very common every time a new OS is installed. If there is no download available, then ask when one will be released. In the alternative, does your printer have the Air Print capability. If so, that will work for you.

Yes it does support Epson printers. Have you gone to the Epson site and see if they have a driver for your model that supports Big Sur?

I've been to the Epson site to check my printer (Stylus Photo R340) and it gives which version of the driver I need, BUT when I go to where it should be it gives the driver for a mobile phone instead of one for Big Sur, even though I select Big Sur as my operating system. Very strange.

The driver they have for Catalina isn't the one they say to use for Big Sur and is, presumably, the one on the computer already.

FORGOT TO SAY when I try to add it with the old driver a message comes up saying

"An error occurred while trying to add the selected device.

successful-ok-ignored-or-substituted-attributes"

As others have said, go to the Epson site and check there.

I had problems findng the driver I needed and used live chat. They couldn't find the driver either but gave me a link to the latest version, which I thought I had already. I installed it all the same and was then able to add my printer, which so far seems fine.
