Safari 14.0.1 all of the sudden lost ability "Choose file"

I just noticed yesterday, that I cannot upload files via "choose file" button when maintaining CMS on websites (I've tried more various systems) or when in web form with "choose file" button.

When using Firefox or Chrome on the same web sites, the "choose file" button normally launches the dialogue window to choose the particular file from computer hierarchy, as Safari did just till a two days ago…

First I tried to get rid of ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.Safari folder and Safari stuff in ~/Library/Caches, but it didn't have any effect. Then I found out, it's affecting all users in the computer. Plus it looks like this sudden feature drop happened in last two days to more people:

https://stackoverflow.com/questions/64843459/input-type-file-on-html-form-not-working-on-safari-version-14-0-1-14610-2-11-51

I experience the same behavior on the page here:

https://www.w3schools.com/tags/tryit.asp?filename=tryhtml5_input_type_file

"choose file" doesn't work, "submit" works

Is there anybody here who witnessed this strange behavior too and was able to manage it, it's really annoying.

Thanks in advance!

To fix this problem download Mojave from the Download OS section on this page: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT211683

This will re-install Mojave and reset Safari back to version 12. All files and configurations are retained though you will have to re-install Java if you use this.

Once Mojave boots up after you have reinstalled it, click on System Preferences > Software Updates and download all security updates but untick the Safari 14.0.1 and 14.0.2 updates to avoid reinstalling the file upload bug.
