I have a friend that has an iphone, one of the newer models. Not sure what specific model. Whenever I try to call her I get the following: call failed the reason being user busy. What does that mean? Whenever I text her too I never get a response. I have no other way of contacting her. So I'm just wondering what it means. I know she can't be on the phone because I tried calling her at different times and still get the same message. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Many people refuse to answer anonymous calls, so its not surprising that if you called from a line with blocked caller ID, she would refuse to answer.
You're going to have to speak to her or have someone else do so.
I'm willing to bet money she blocked you, either accidentally or intentionally, OR her phone is dead.
Maybe she dropped in the toilet or something and hasn't been able to get it replaced yet.

Have you managed to fix the issue? I’m having the same problem since the 12th December none of my iMessages have been delivered to the contact and when I phone the contact I get the exact same issue it just comes up “user busy” I’ve tried everything on the internet to try and fix it but I only have the persons phone number so I can’t contact them any other way
If you called from a blocked number and had the same result, then why do you think you are NOT blocked?
That doesn't make any sense at all... If your calls result in the same behavior as a call from a number she has blocked, then it stands to reason your number may very well be blocked...
Have you actually spoken to her about it?
If I called from a blocked number, it should go through the call. My number is not showing up on caller ID when I call from a blocked number. I have blocked a friend before and that friend called me from a blocked number still got through to me. I have tried to text my friend to tell her about the issue but no response. No idea what is going on to be honest. Do you have any other solutions to why I am getting the message besides blocked?
Oh I didn't think that was possible to do to block block calls. I went ahead and called her from a family member's number that she doesn't have and still same results. I doubt I am blocked at this point. Thanks anyways for trying to help...😔
She needs to report the problem to her cellular carrier... assuming she hasn't blocked you.
I should have mention I am not blocked because I tried calling from a block number and still same results.
I have the same problem calling my husband and I am not blocked.
Weird Estrea. Did Apple support or even your customer care cell service ever tell you what the issue is? That is if you called in
