Hi.
I cant delete apps from my dock. I cant drag until "remove" pops up and I dont have the "remove from dock" option.
Does anyone know how I can fix this?

I did a force quit and that fixed everything!
If it's not too late, I've just found that apps can be removed from the dock by pressing on the app with two fingers, then the options come up.
I have deleted PDF Expert from my laptop (or thought I did) but cannot remove icon from dock. When I drag to the Trash nothing happens. The app is still on the Dock. Also there is a dot underneath this app which shows it is still open.
Not being able to close this app means I cannot install Big Sur OS.
HELP.
Try holding alt key when dragging off.
It is the Dock & not Launchpad... right?
Yes, its the dock. I will try that.

No. That does not remove Safari from the dock. Also I tried deleting the dock information file in userfile/library/preferences/ and that did not work either.
