Which adapter to buy to plug an external microphone into an iPad Air 2?

I have an iPad Air 2 (it's old, I know) and a Blue Snowball Ice microphone. Normally, I use that microphone with my desktop iMac where it's just plug-and-play. Which of Apple's fine adapters do I need to buy to use this microphone with my iPad?

I have a non-power'd lighting-to-USB adapter so I can plug it in already but that doesn't work. I've seen articles elsewhere that suggest using an adaptor that can also be plugged into a power source. Before I spend the money, though, I want to know if my two items are even compatible and then, like I asked about, which adapter to purchase.
