my fitbit icon on iphone 8 has disappeared how do I get it back?

If you go to the App Store and search for Fitbit.. does it indicate you need to download it again or does it say 'open'?
If it says open, it must be on your phone somewhere..
Are you running iOS 14? If so, you may have 'removed' the app. If you swipe left until you get to the App Library, swipe downward and you'll get an alphabetical list of all the apps on your phone. Find Fitbit, tap/hold/drag and it'll pop out to your Home Screen
