iCloud Storage plan monthly

Paying monthly charges for icloud storage. Do I still need this if I upgraded to the new iphone with 256 gb?

You may or may not. For example, if you have a lot of photos or videos on your phone and you want to sync them to iCloud Photos (either because you want them to sync to other devices or because you want to have a copy of the photos on iCloud for safety in case the phone is lost, stolen or damaged) then you might need more than the free 5GB iCloud storage plan.


If you want to see what the storage is currently being used for, see information in Manage your iCloud storage - Apple Support


If you decide you don't need the upgraded storage, cancel by downgrading to the free 5GB plan. See instructions in: Downgrade or cancel your iCloud storage plan - Apple Support
