Where is the progress bar when transferring a file from Mac to iPhone?

I feel like I must be missing something, it must show a progress bar somewhere... when transferring files to an iPhone using the Finder sidebar > iPhone selected > Files tab, I drag a file to the iPhone, and no progress bar or any indicator of the file transfer is shown. Eventually the transfer usually finishes, but I have no idea when it finishes, or if it completed successfully. How do I fix this?

When I copy files - the only way to see the progress - is an open destination program and observe the files there. But, unbelievable, in Linux, KDE (!!!???), the progress works just fine when copying the files from computer to iPhone. (impossible but true).

Help!!! Unable to transfer files from iPhone to MacOS Catalina from Finder I recently upgraded to Catalina. My iPhone 11 Pro Max is connected to my MacBook pro via USB. I pull up Finder, and select "Files" from the iPhone tab and go to the DJI GO app folder, and drag the shared files folder to my desktop. Upon dropping the file to the desktop - it stays for 1 second, and vanishes. Am I missing a step? How does this work? I need to figure this out quick, because I have to unload all those DJI videos to free up space on my phone for another video shoot, very soon!!!! Software & Hardware: Latest version of iOS 13 Latest Version of Catalina iPhone 11 Pro Max Late 2013 15" Macbook Pro w/ Retina Display

So previously there was a way to transfer files from the the Ipad onto the mac - now this is impossible, as the file manager in finder does not allow to transfer files from ipad to mac manually (I dont like the syncing mechanism, sorry). Any tips?
