Since upgrading my OS to Big Sur, I can no longer see the flags column beside the messages in the inbox message list. The flags option still shows in the tool bar and the flags option is still working in the sidebar - I can filter flagged messages - but I can't see flags beside the messages in the main message list, which is the most useful place to see flagged messages at a glance. Any ideas?

Are you using Column Layout?
If you are, know that it now is extremely more flexible than in Catalina.
You can pick and choose whichever colums you like, and ever reorder them by dragging.
If you are NOT using Column Layout, the flag appears now on the right:
Thanks - this helped to identify the problem and where the solution might be... I googled 'where is column layout' (which I was using anyway) which led me to the instruction, 'right click on any column header to show the list' from which you can select the flag option. Thank you!
Neiro 113, thank you. Your reply solved the problem. This is a case of bad UI, I'm afraid. It shouldn't be buried like this.
