Whenever I try and download my iphone contacts to my new 2021 Ford Explorer, I get the following message: "Download has failed. Your phone may need to grant Ford Explorer access to your contacts and recent call list." How does my phone grant access?

Open the iPhone, go to Settings>Bluetooth. Select the (i) at the end of the row for your Explorer and it should open a settings page. There may be settings there for the Contacts. Since I don't have one I cannot say exactly, but that is what I have for my vehicle. If you continue to get an error, check with your Ford dealer, they would know exactly how to set up your iPhone with their vehicle.
