Creating rules for adding

My first time posting here, apologies in advance for my very rudimentary Mac Numbers knowledge!

I'm trying to create an income spreadsheet for the year (see attached). I've managed to create a drop down menu for the 'category' F column, and have applied a highlight rule for the specific text. I would now like to add up each of the colours, so I get a yearly sum for each of the categories. So for example I could see how much money I've made from workshops over the whole year.

Is there an easy way to do that? I'm quite happy to do some reading, I could just do with a start point as I'm not sure what the easiest way to go about it would be.

Thanks so much for any help in advance.

You cannot add anything up by cell color. You can add based on the text in cells, such as "Workshops" or "Royalties - Rockfax". If you want to add up all the values in column C for rows that have "Workshops" in column F,

=SUMIF(F,"Workshops",C)
