Zoom audio is not going to bluetooth speaker while other audio is

On my MacBook Pro I have bluetooth headphones paired, yet Zoom audio still goes to the computer speaker. I can simultaneously play Youtube audio to the paired headphones. I have turned bluetooth off and back on, re-paired the headphones, and relaunched Zoom and get the same result.

What's this all about?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.12

Check the Zoom app settings.

Zoom can output to any available audio device.

In Zoom -> Settings -> Audio there is an option for the Speaker.

If this is set to 'Same as System' then it should switch to your BlueTooth headphones if that's where your OS is set to.

However, the settings could be set to a specific device such as 'Built-in Output' in which case it would use your Mac's speakers, regardless of the general OS settings.
