When i insert my sim i receive invalid sim error

What is the reason i receive the error of invali sim card when i want to set up my phone after reseting it?

iPhone 6s, iOS 13

It means that you are inserting a SIM card that your iPhone does not support. For example, you can not put a Verizon SIM card into a AT&T iPhone. You would have to contact your carrier about this.

To clarify the above. You do not need to contact your carrier... that is, the carrier you are trying to use.

You need to contact the carrier the device is locked to.
