I can’t for the life of me find out how to use my Apple Account/ID balance for a purchase in the Apple Store app. Can anyone show me how to do it? Preferably with pictures of where that option is in the app.
That seems true from what I’ve seen but not only has Apple Support told me numerous times that you can do this even though they could not show me how to do it, in the “What you can buy with your Apple ID balance“ page, it shows this:
...which just confuses me. Unless I’m wrong, Apple ID balance is the same as Apple Account balance right? It says Apple Account in iOS and iPadOS for me.
You can't, unless you specifically used an Apple Gift Card(not an App Store and iTunes card).

Normally, for most purchases, the amount is automatically taken from the Apple ID balance before the payment method is charged.
