M1 Mac Mini Bluetooth Keyboard/Trackpad Not Waking

Have a Magic Trackpad 2 and Magic Keyboard with Numeric Keypad that have waked my work MacBook Pro reliably for years.

With this new Mac Mini M1 there seems to be some bluetooth wake issue where keyboard presses or mouse clicks do not wake machine.

If I press the button once on back, the monitor will wake but the keyboard and trackpad are not recognized unless I do a hard power reset holding back button in until it powers off. When it powers back on, everything works fine.

I have 2 Mini M1's and a Macbook Pro 13 M1, the bluetooth is trash on all of them. Drove me crazy enough to replace my apple magic mouse and keyboard to use one with an adaptor. I actually returned one because of the issue and spent hours on a support call, no work around for any of them. I don't even want to bring up the hotspot or wifi issues. I upgraded to the beta software as well, didn't change anything. I also think they are amazing and willing to wait out for the fix.

I am having Bluetooth issues on 2017 MacBook Pro.

Major issue with Bluetooth on 2017 MacBook Pro MacOS Sur. AirPods Pro keep loosing sound intermittently. Logitech mouse - MX Anywhere 2 and keyboard - K780 wireless Bluetooth connectivity is failing - disconnects and reconnects intermittently. Now using the unifyer and the mouse gets jumpy when using browsers mainly Safari. Ran diagnostics with “D” . No issues found. Deleted com.apple.Bluetooth.plist. Did not work. Connected only the Aipods Pro. Sound is intermittent. Apple, fix it! before releasing a winter product.

update:

Try logging out (AppleID) of all your Apple devices and logging back in. Also, disconnect wi-fi, connect to Bluetooth device and turn wi-fi on. It works a little better. I would leave the MacBook running for a day. Something to do with optimization. Try it.
