Are MFI certified chargers always guaranteed to work with iPhones?

I have a lightning cable that is not MFI certified. Predictably, after a few months of working, it began to give me “This accessory may not be supported” errors.

I expect that I will need to buy an MFI-certified cable to fix this problem and ensure that the error is not repeated.

Is that guaranteed to fix it, or will I need to likely change cables again in the future?
