[CMD]+[ALT]+[ESC] Not Working

Hi All,

I have a MacBook Pro 13'' with High Sierra 10.13.6 (not upgradable) running on it.

I noticed that the combination [CMD]+[ALT]+[ESC], that is Force Quit, is not longer working.

Any idea on how to fix it please?

When I use the keyboard shortcut, command-alt-esc (alt=option) the Force Quit window does not come up. Does anyone know what causes this and how I can resolve it? I can access the Force Quit window just fine from the menu. I have tried a new clean user account before submitting this and this issue is reproducible so it is system wide. What system wide file might hold these settings? Perhaps it's faulty? I also checked the Keyboard viewer and I can see that all the keys register in both user accounts but for the ESC key but escape does work as I can use it to escape out of full screen video running in youtube for example. Any ideas?

I have the same problem as a 2012 Post: "force quit command option esc does not work in snow leopard/High Sierra" I have had this shortcut issue for a month or so and I saw the same problem in 2012. BDAqua had a couple suggestions but PFlyer11 couldn't get the Force Quit shortcut to work either. I did check the Sys Pref-Keyboard-Shortcut-Keyboard and this shortcut wasn't listed either. I am running High Sierra. Using the Apple dropdown-Force Quit does work.

⌥⌘⎋ Should Force Quit.

If you click on the top left of your screen and click on Force Quit… there does it work.

thanks for your reply.

Force Quit from the menu' works normally.

Only the [CMD]+[ALT]+[ESC] combination doesn't.

When I try to start Force Quit using the combination the Mac answer with a strange bip.
