Since upgrading watch to 7.1 it won

I just upgraded my watch to 7.1 and now it's not recognized by several computers that it linked to prior to the upgrade. I tried signing out of iCloud and then back in on the computers. I've restarted the watch, the computer and the iPhone. I've checked to be sure they are all using the same WIFI and iCloud accounts. I keep getting "Your Mac was unable to communicate with your Apple Watch."

The only thing that is changed is the upgrade to 7.1 on the watch. I'm running Catalina on one Mac and BigSur on another. Running 14.2 on my iPhone X.

Turns out I hadn't actually upgraded to 7.1 and this was a know bug in 7.0. Now that I'm properly upgraded it's working.

Oh, like opening the Mac with the Watch. I didn't think about that. I don't really use it for passwords, since I don't use Keychain. However, I do have mine setup to unlock my MacBook Air. I have a series 6 watch on watchOS 7.1. The Air was on Catalina, but is now on Big Sur and it will still unlock the computer. I only have the one MBA, so I cannot speak to being connected to multiple computers.
