Can I make mailing labels with Pages?

The Avery site has downloadable mailing label templates in Pages document format. One can produce mailing labels without Pages by using the Contacts application to import a CVS sheet of information into a custom Contact Group, and then specify the specific Avery sheet number from the Contact print panel.
