I have to put in my password for app updates

Recently I have been having to put in my password for app updates on my iPad when I never had to before. Does anyone know how to disable this?

Thanks

Hi t_arcus,

Thanks for reaching out here in the Apple Support Communities. We see that you are suddenly being asked to enter your password for app updates in the App Store on your iPad.

We're glad to help.

It looks like the setting to require a password might have been enabled.

You can see how to disable that and mange the settings:

Require a password for App Store and iTunes purchases - Apple Support

Take Care.
