Once a week I receive an mp4 video (around 4 GB) which I then publish on the web. In order to reduce the filesize I will open the file in QuickTime and export 1080 as .mov file. This typically takes 5-10 minutes. But since last week I’ve updates to BigSur and now the export to take at least 5 hours.
Has anyone else encountered this problem? Any solutions?

The issue is solved.
It turned out QuickTime chose as a default setting: Smaller File Size (HEVC) and that takes hours to export for 30 minutes long HD video. I switched to Greater Combatibility (H.264) and successfully exported in 3 minutes.
