QNAP QNA-UC5G1T USB 3.0 TO 5Gbe Adapter
I have a QNAP QNA-UC5G1T USB 3.0 TO 5Gbe Adapter and after the update to Big Sur, It no longer works as on Catalina.
There are only options for 10,100 and 1000 ethernet. the 2.5 GBE and 5 GBE options are gone.
Im using this on a MacBook Pro 16 inch.
I've updated both the firmware of the QNAP Adapter to the latest:
QNAP QNA-UC5G1T Firmware 3.1.6 released on 2020-06-08
and also tried to install the driver
Marvel AQtion USB 3.1 Driver released on 2019-10-18
as per instructions in the driver download but it is still not working.
I can connect to 1gbe only. I've tried reinstalling Mac OS Big Sur from the recovery (CMD & R) on startup as when Big Sur was first released I could only upgrade from Catalina, it wouldn't let me boot from the Install USB I made following the usual sudo on terminal.
Even after updating the MBP16 to the latest firmware by entering the recovery and trying to boot after the security was changed properly.
Does anyone else have this issue? All working fine when connected to a Windows PC so I know its not the adapter. Plus QNAP have tried to help suggesting the above but as it is only Mac OS that's changed it must be something to do with Big Sur.
normally in the image attached it shows 2.5 and 5gbe below the 1000baseT option.
