App says "Your request cannot be processed" and doesn't work-- but works fine on husbands phone

I have a news app from a local newspaper on my phone that works perfectly fine on my husbands phone. But on my phone everytime I try to read a story it says "your request cannot be processed" and it says "retry or cancel" and it doesn't work. I can see all the stories to potentially read but once I click a story it gives me that message. I have deleted and reinstalled the app to no avail. Any other tips that might make this work??
