I installed Big Sur on my MacBook Pro (16 inches 2019) and the printer Canon LBP6020 disappeared. I downloaded a new driver but there is no printer available in the system. What do I do now?

I disconnected the printer from the laptop and also from the grid as I couldn’t turn it off for some reason. When I reconnected it I could choose my printer in the settings and install it, and hey presto it worked!
