I get message: "You can't open the application "Screenshot.app" because it is not responding. This message is on two iMacs.

You do not need a third party App to take screen shots.

Thank you den.thed, I have been trying that. It picks up the text but will not pick up the image I am trying to copy. Everything used to be so simple with Grab! This is something new with my Macs, both old and new, it seems. I used to be able to just drag my mouse over the image to copy and paste. However, I have just discovered that you can go to Preview, File, Take Screenshot.
