import a drum sound into step sequencer

I want to bring in new audio drum sounds into the step sequencer. How do I do this in logic pro x 10.6. Please can someone give me step by step instructions as I am a beginner in this? Many thanks

It should be as simple as dragging the sound right from the finder into the corresponding Drum Machine Designer pad.

Or to be more specific, the easiest way to do this:

  1. Create a new Software Instrument Track
  2. Make sure Drum Machine Designer is selected
  3. Drag the sounds you want into the individual pads (you'll see which keys correspond to which pad)
  4. Then in the Step Sequencer, the appropriate sound should be available in the corresponding key.

Hope that makes sense.
