the charger doesn't light up when I plug it into my laptop (macbook air, 11inch, early 2015)

the charger doesnt light up when I plug it into my laptop (macbook air, 11inch, early 2015) (I have checked if the charger is working and it is working).

The laptop currently has no charge and I need to charge it asap :( all my documents are on the laptop.

What do I need to do to fix it ?
