HP LaserJet 1018 Drivers

After the update to macOS Big Sur - it won't print. Does anybody have a solution?

HP LASER 107W not working on Big Sur Hi I just got an HP Laser 107w printer, and even when my Mac detected the printer and is using a driver called HP laser 103 107 108, nothing gets printed. The printer icon appears on the dock, if you open the print list, there's a printing job "printing" but in reality nothing happens!! Can someone help me understand what is wrong here?? HP does not have any driver for Mac in their website!! Sorry if my English sucks, not my first language.

HP Color LaserJet 3600n not printing macOS 12.1 I recently purchased this printer second hand. I plugged it into my MacBook Pro and set it up as I normally would in system preferences. Whenever I try to print, the little printer app shows up in my dock, the status proceeds as normal and eventually it vanishes from the list indicating the print has completed. But the printer never prints. Is there any way to get this thing working? I've tried everything in this thread: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/252006315, but none of the drivers I've been able to find online will install in macOS 12.1 and the firmware files will not open at all. Any help is appreciated! Thanks. jack

macOS Big Sur - HP Print Driver Hello - Updated to macOS Big Sur from Catalina. Had tons of issues including fan running non-stop and CPU being maxed out. As a result had to intall macOS Big Sur clean from a USB and since it has been OK. I am still having one issue and that is printing! Where are the HP Print Drivers? I don't have AIRPRINT on an enterprise printer LaserJet CP4025 (color laser) with a duplexer and multiple trays. Apple shows the HP Printer Drivers v5.1 for OS X, download but that is NOT VALID for macOS Big Sur. How is this going on in 2020 with a brand new OS? Apple is turely dropping the ball and HP is blaming Apple. We the consumers just go in circles. This needs to be corrected.

After updating to Big Sur, I got my HP Laserjet 1018 working following these instructions :

Was it the 1.6.1 driver version?

There is also a newer download at HP Printer Drivers v5.1 for OS X (the supported printers list at Printer and scanner drivers for Mac - Apple Support).

Hi,

The HP LaserJet 1018 is a printer supported on Windows and Linux only. However, it has been reported to work with the LaserJet 1022 driver under some older Mac systems. Were you using a 1022 driver earlier? If so, the discussion about this driver (used with a 1020) at https://discussions.apple.com/thread/252038870?answerId=253919168022#253919168022 could perhaps be of interest to you.

Go to the HP website, find the drivers for your model and download them. I had to use Pacifist to install mine.

Yes, I was using it with the 1022 drivers with the 3.1 HP drivers pack version. (https://support.apple.com/kb/DL907?viewlocale=de_DE&locale=de_DE)

You need HP’s version 5.1 driver package which is recommended for older HP printers now.
