Itunes - Search button gone!

Hello,

I updated to big sur a couple of days ago and noticed that the search button in my itunes library is gone (used to be on the right side where the volume button is). I used to be able to group songs to change them simultaneously and not I can't! Help!

Glad I found this answer, because it gets me at least part of the way where I want things to be. This is another example of someone at Apple choosing appearance over functionality. When a search brings up 100 items, not having it in list form is ridiculous and unworkable.

Is there a way to keep the Filter Field showing all the time, rather than having to go up to View to activate it every time I want to use it? Also, under the Search in Catalina, I could specify if I wanted to see only songs or artists with my search word. I do not see a way to do that now. So, if I search for "Johnny", for example, I get all artists and all songs that contain "Johnny". Maybe for people with 200 songs, all the changes are fine. I have thousands of songs, so these changes are not good ones for me.

Unfortunately it isn't possible to keep the filter field enabled. You'll have to get practiced with the keyboard shortcut option+command+F. Enabling the Column Browser may help you quickly narrow down results in some cases. You could also try turning off unneeded columns, though I think some are always enabled for search even if not shown.
