Mac Mini M1 Audio Playback

I’m considering buying the new Mac Mini M1 but want to make certain that audio playback isn’t going to turn into a nightmare. I currently have a 2015 Macbook Pro in a LandingZone dock. I have a mini-stereo to RCA cable that runs from the headphone(speaker??) jack on the back of the dock to an input on my stereo system’s amp. Works fine for my purpose. No DAC unit required.

Thing is, in researching this prior to purchase I’ve found cases where users are having problems with outputting sound from their Mac Mini. Does anybody currently use my setup on a Mac Mini and can confirm that this will work?
