I just picked up my phone and I couldn’t get into FaceBook. It asked me to log in and I knew something was very wrong when my iPhone 6S Plus didn’t populate the fields even with my thumb scan. I went to settings then passwords and NOTHING was there! More than 400 saved passwords are gone. I didn’t do anything so it must have auto updated while I was away from my phone. I am so upset. Help!

Open Settings ➔ Apple ID (Your Name at Top) ➔ Scroll Down and check to see whether you see the Sign Out option. If you do then you are signed in. If you are signed in then all is well. After that-
Open Settings ➔ Apple ID (Your Name at Top) ➔ iCloud ➔ Keychain : Ensure that this is set to ON.

Try restarting your iPhone. Open Settings ➔ General ➔ Shut Down : Restart your iPhone after shutting down. See if that resolves the issue. If NOT then See whether you are still signed into iCloud (Apple ID). If NOT then sign back into your Apple ID.

I shut it down and the problem was not resolved. When you say check whether you’re still signed into iCloud (Apple ID) where do I need to check? I went to Safari on my phone and yes, I’m logged into my account on the internet. Is that what you meant? If not, please explain where I need to check. Thanks for responding so quickly Axel. Yes, I DO see the Sign Out option at the bottom and the Keychain is set to ON. My passwords have not reappeared. All of my emails disappeared too. I had most of them and their passwords written down, but a couple I can’t remember. What could have caused this fiasco? I’m so upset.
Not sure what happened. Question: Do you still get new incoming emails and are you able to send emails out?
and finally, Do you have a backup of your iPhone created on a computer by any chance?

After I went through the process of re-adding back all of my email accounts onto my iPhone, yes I can send and receive email. I back up my iphone to ICloud. I HATE iTunes and have never been able to use it, let alone understand it. I’m losing my mind.
