Cannon Pixma MX475 Printer

I have a very embarrassing situation as have just been given this printer as a present but there does not appear to be a printer driver available compatible with my iMac. I am running Catalina 10.15.7. Is there anyway round this as I naturally do not wish to tell the giver of the present that the printer won't work on my iMac?

Big Sur and Canon printers I have an iMac recently updated to Big Sur. My printer, a Canon Pixma MG6120, seemed to work ok for the most part (scanner wouldn't work), but since themes recent software update yesterday, my printer won't work at all. Canon's website does not offer a printer driver for Big Sur. Does this mean that I need to buy a new printer now? This is very frustrating!

Mac os Catalina 10.15.7 printer drivers for Dell s2830dn I have a 27 inch iMac late 2013 running Catalina 15.10.7 i want to use a sell printer that was given gifted to me but I am not seeing any drivers. a further review of the Dell site indicated that there were no drivers available for it . Is there any way around this ? I have recently heard about generic drivers but as a complete novice in this area do not know anything about this The printer in question is a Dell s2830dn laser printer any help offered would be extremely appreciated

It ought to work with no additional software. The Canon tech specs page state that it is compatible with macOS 10.6.8 or later and with Apple's AirPrint technology.

It's usual in recent years for printer software to be included in operating systems.

And as a last resort you can access the Canon software here.
