Locating new iPhone that is lost

I misplaced a new iPhone 11 that has never been used. It’s still in the original box. Can it be located by Find My Phone?

when you say the phone was 'deactivated'.. if this involved restoring the device to factory settings, then you likely cannot use Find My

If it has not been activated, there is no way to track it. You will have to physically look for it.

I made a mistake; the phone was activated for a few months, but has since been deactivated. Can it be tracked at this point?
