44mm case fit a 42mm Apple Watch?

I want to buy a case to go around the screen of my Apple Watch but it is 42mm and the case I’m looking at only has for 44mm. Would it still fit or no?

the case would be 2millimeter too big

so it would fit but it would be wobbly

Watch Series 0, 1, 2 and 3 have 38mm or 42mm cases

Watch Series 4, 5 and 6 have 40mm or 44mm cases.

Bands can be used interchangeably for 38mm or 40mm

Same for 42mm or 44mm bands.
