how to restore deleted fitness app icon to iPhone
I managed to delete the fitness app icon, I can still get to the app from the library, how can I restore the app icon so that I can get to the app from the "main" screen?
iPhone SE, iOS 14

I go to the app store, touch and hold the app to restore to my iPhone SE2 and it does nothing. I have the option to "open" it but it doesn't reload on my homescreen when I do that. It is also no longer synced to the activity on my watch 3

On the Home Screen, swipe left, beyond your last Home Screen and your App Library will be displayed. Touch and hold the icon from there until it wiggles. It is not from the App Store.
I found this by accident as I was having the same issue as you.
The App Library is found by swiping left all the way past your last Home Screen. In there you will see the Fitness icon. Touch and hold that icon until it wiggles and gives you the option to add to your Home Screen. (It is not from the App Store). Hope this helps, I had the same frustrating problem.
To get the missing Fitness app, you need to go to the app library. The App Library is a new way to organize your iPhone's apps, introduced in iOS 14. To find it, simply swipe all the way to the very last, rightmost page of your iPhone'shome screen. Once there, you'll see all of your apps organized into several folders.
My fitness app on my iPhone 10 stopped recording data from my iWatch 3. I deleted ther fitness app from my home screen. It still shows as purchased and openable in the app store. But the data shown still does not reflect actviity over the past 24 hours. And, it seems to not be accepting new data, even though the data appears on my watch.
This is the correct answer!
The fitness app is not installed on my iPhone 12, upgraded to 14.5.1.
I can’t download from the App Store as it tells me my phone isn’t compatible with certain features, or something.
I’m in the UK, quite new to iPhone and quite unimpressed with how much stuff doesn’t work so far
I wanted to try Apple fitness but it looks like I can’t
I had the same issue on my iPhone 11. But as suggested, I went to the App Library and restored the app. I had deleted it in the beginning because it would no longer sync to the activity on my Apple Watch.
How can I get the activity from the watch to sync to my iPhone?
I had the same issue as many others mentioned about their phones. My Apple Watch would no longer sync the data from the Fitness App to my iPhone 11, so I deleted the app, but then couldn't reinstall it. As you suggested, I went to the App Library and restored the app.
However, I still cannot get the Fitness App on my Apple Watch to sync to my iPhone 11 at all! It does show a calendar. But that does no good because it shows no data at all - on any day! Is there a way I can get the activity from the watch to sync to my iPhone?
In the app library touch and hold the fitness icon,it will wiggle then just drag it onto your home screen.
Hi mines gone too and I’ve tried what you’ve said there and it doesn’t work for me if I hold the the fitness icon it doesn’t wiggle it just gives me the option to share and tried dragging but no joy
I tried that and it doesn’t work. It just opens up but does not put it back on my main screens. Does anyone else have any other ideas? It would be much appreciated. Thanks.
thanx fieryjack,
