Mac Pro 2019 - Need more USB ports

Ok I posted about this in another thread but I got an answer which I need to look into further as I thought I would start a new post as the topic focus has changed.

Original post

"I was using a Mac Pro 2012 for video streaming, I have 4 cameras I was able to use the three USB ports in the back and the one on the front of the unit to power all my cameras and external hard drive.

Now I upgraded to a Mac Pro 2019 which only has 2 USB ports so I bought the following card

https://www.sonnettech.com/product/allegro-pro-usb31-pcie.html

Once installed I see that the card does not recognize any cameras or hard drives, I will return the card but what do I do to have USB capability on this machine? Is there another card out there I can use???

What do I do here?

Get a powered USB hub and run the last camera and external drive?

Is there a thunderbolt card that will give me enough power to I can use a USB thunderbolt connector?

OR I was told I can

Must authorize charging support kernal extension in Security and Privacy System Preferences. (Unlock, then allow.) for the card I just bought?

Anyone ? As this unit was 9K and I do not want to do anything that will possibly cause a serious problem.

Mac Pro, macOS 10.13

Wha to Try:

Use an externally-powered USB Hub. Contact your local retailer, or check Amazon, seeing if they have one.

For Clarification:

If the USB hub has its own power jack, and it is plugged in to the wall when used, then all should be fine. Using the externally-powered USB hub, power is saved, and not “eaten up” as quick.

Is getting a hub with more USB pots just not an option? You would plug computers AC or DC Power Adapter into one of the ports of the hub, and use the other ports as need be.

Try this Hub Found Right on Amazon: UGREEN 7-Port USB Hub 3.0 with 5V Power Adapter USB Data Hub 3ft Extended Cable Compatible for Mac, MacBook Pro Air, HP Dell Laptop

Customer Review:

"This is an active powered USB hub instead of a passive hub. For me this runs a wireless headset, keyboard, mouse, scanner, printer, external 4TB hard drive and a web camera. This uses a USB-A to USB-A cable instead of a standard USB-A to USB-B cable."
