Watch activation locked

I recently purchased an Apple Watch used. The owner said she had removed it from her account and phone. It still says activation locked. Is there anyway to get around this? The owner will no longer reply to my messages

Apple Watch activation lock I bought a watch off of someone on Facebook, I tried setting it up to my phone but the watch has an activation lock on it. I tried contacting the person who sold it to me but they won’t respond. Is there anyway I can get it removed?

Does anyone else have a second hand Apple Watch and the former owner can’t take the Activation Lock off? I bought an Apple Watch from a “friend” (even though i don’t like her) for $100 and she can’t take the activation lock off even though i gave her resources on how to reset it. More so she refuses and has ignored me to this day.. I even took it to the Genius Bar and they said they couldn’t help SO PLEASE if anyone has solutions i can save my money and actually use my watch

The seller must follow all these steps;

Remove the activation lock so somebody else can use it

If she can't or won't,get you money back because the watch will be of no use to you,there is no workaround.
