Safari Memory Leak Issue

I deleted my two extensions. Gram Neely and Ghostery

and the problem is solved

don’t know which extension was creating the memory leak. I guess they will eventually fix it. Till then - this is the only solution. Delete your extensions and try it.

I'm having the exact same problem regularly using up 40-50gb of memory usually because of safari before crashing and running out of memory. I was about to return my Macbook and buy another thinking it was a hardware fault with the unified memory but I haven't heard it being reported elsewhere until now.

I really hope they fix this issue fast. I love how fast safari is right now on the M1. They just need to fix this.

I have the same problem on Macbook Pro M1 16Gb. I get a system notification of low memory when Safari is over 100GB.

Looks like the problem was with the Xdebug Key extension. Replaced with XDebugToggle.
