Hi there I’m trying to save airdrop photos into my camera roll. For some reason it goes into a section that says ‘for you’ in photos and just has an i cloud link and says “iCloud link available until (date)” but i can’t save these photos into my camera roll. Can someone please help how i might rectify this? Thanks

It appears that you're having a problem using AirDrop from your iPhone to save a photo in your camera roll. The problem is, you get a message that the iCloud link is only available until a certain date and you can't save them. We're glad to help with this.
How to share albums in Photos on your iPhone, iPad, and Mac - Apple Support -- It sounds as if you're trying to AirDrop a photo from a shared album. That's why you're getting that message.
If this is correct, what device are you sending the photo to?
At what point do you see the message?
What happens when you try to save the photo, and where are you trying to save it?

Get Support -- Since they should be able to be added to the Camera Roll, please contact Apple Support. Type Photos in the Search topics field, and choose Missing photos from the Results.

Hi there thanks for getting back to me. So this came about because when i upgraded my iPhone to the 11 some of my photos didn’t backup and transfer over. So I’m missing photos and videos from dec 2019 until Augusta 2020. I’ve tried re backing it up and from iCloud and it didn’t work. Therefor i though if i airdrop my photos from my old phone to my number in my new phone this would work. Which does but i can’t save the photos in my camera roll. Unless i screenshot them which doesn’t date order them and doesn’t work for the videos. Any more suggestions? Thanks leiya
