Remaining AppleCare transfer to new device
I currently have Apple care on my phone but want to up grade to a new one. Can I move the current Apple care over?

Contact Apple to be sure but if I’m not mistaken you can only transfer it to a replacement device (not an upgrade) or to a new owner when you sell or give away the device it’s on. You might be able to get a prorated refund but I can’t recall. Definitely contact Apple support for clear options.
