I need to update Final Cut pro but the app store will only give me the option of the most recent 10.5 that requires the latest OS. I can only upgrade my machine to 10.14.6 (mojave) and it will not let me upgrade to the latest OS. The app store used to offer older versions if your machine was too old for the current one but it's not doing that now. How can I get Final cut 10.4.9?

OOPS!! This did NOT Solve my problem. I accidentally marked it solved.
It did succeed in tricking the app store into thinking I needed a new install instead of an update but when I clicked the download it still said I can't install 10.5 on this machine that it requires OS 10.15.6 :(
Yes from the purchased page. I'm telling you they changed the store. I used to be able to find older copies from the purchased page and it used to be if I hit update it would update to the most recent that was compatible. But they've put a block up. Only the most recent one will download now. Frustrating. I just wish they'd make it so I could install the latest OS on my 2010 Macpro. Argh!
Zip the application and then move it to trash. Sign into the App Store with the Apple ID used to purchase it. Download it from your Purchase page or the FCP page.
Have you purchased the application before? You v can only purchase the current version.
Yes i've owned it for years. I currently have v 10.4.6 installed.
Are you on the update page? Did you hide the application and go to the purchased page?
