So since Apple has replaced iTunes with Apple Music, if one doesn't want to pay the monthly subscription fee, any music that was previously loaded to iTunes from CDs or music purchased from the Apple Store from iTunes is now lost? And don't tell me that it isn't lost because I have lost a large library of music that I uploaded from CDs as well as music I purchased from the Apple Store now that I switched from a PC to a Mac.
You don’t need to have an Apple Music subscription. Music app works in the same way as iTunes. Something else has gone wrong.

Thanks, but how do I control my own music with Music? I used to be able to drag a song file to disk, but that no longer works. How can I copy music to the desktop/wherever?
