I just bought an iPhone 12 Pro Max yesterday, and today I realized that there is no visible 5G antenna on the side of my phone.
I live in Denmark, and I’d be sad to have been sold a phone advertised as 5G, WITHOUT 5G.

Only the US Market iPhone 12 phones have the nmWave band on the side of the phone. Your phone most assuredly has the 5G chip in the phone. There is nothing to worry about.
If you go to Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Options > Voice and Data and you see 5G options, you have a 5G phone.

Yes, that would certainly explain why you don't that option on your phone.
Here is a link to Apple Denmark. Click on any model iPhone 12 and then Specifications and you'll clearly see it is 5G capable.
A shame that even my attempts to google it left me with no answers. Not a single thread or article. I had to come here for answers. Thank you guys.
There is no 5G option in Voice & Data, but that might be because I don’t have a 5G plan.
