I wore my watch in a hot tub recently and had it in water mode. After a couple of hours my watch stopped functioning normal and wouldn’t keep its charge. The next day the screen went completely gray and now it does not work. What happened?

What happened?

I’ve worn it in a hottub pool ocean etc and this is the only time something bad has happened.
Watch Series 2 or later can be used in pool and ocean but not in hot tub.
I'm surprised it lasted until the next day.
