Possibly a scam - do NOT tap any links in the message.
But if you are concerned, changing your apple ID password never does any harm as long as you securely record the new one.

A non-jailbroken phone cannot be hacked. As noted, why do you think your’s was?
What says it's been hacked? An email, message, web page or popup from one? In any of these cases, it's a scam. Delete and ignore.
