External backup 2017 MacBook

I have a 2017 12inch MacBook. It only has one port, a usb-c. I want to back it up to an external hard drive, but the battery will run out before it is done, so I need to simultaneously charge it. Which adapter can I purchase that will allow for charging and backing up?
